The Alpha Course
The Alpha course is a great way to understand more about chistianity in an informal and friendly atmosphere. The Alpha course is clearly an effective means of presenting the gospel to contacts we make. Its success depends most of all on the relationships we build with the people we bring, and the faith and commitment we exercise towards them.
We have now been running Alpha for a number of years. At first the results were slow and there were many times when we were tempted to give up and stop running the courses. About fifteen months ago we decided to commit ourselves to running courses end on end. We also started to draw all the people together for the supper, then run the courses in homes bringing them back together for the Alpha Day. At this time things started to change. The next course saw seven people saved, the one after that fifteen and the one after that twenty two. Courses since then have continued to bear fruit. We are now regularly adding people to the church who have come to know the Lord through Alpha.
So why don’t you consider running an Alpha course this year?
