Take Hold Of That for which Christ took hold of you By Tim Grant

I have been on a journey ever since I became a Christian to fulfil the purpose that God has for my life. I remember moments after discovering that there really is a God being impacted by the thought that if there is a God then there must be a purpose for every one of our lives and I had better find out what His purpose was for mine and seek to fulfil it. Wouldn't it be awful to come to the end of your life and discover that you never really fulfilled the purpose for which God put you here on earth?

 

I don’t think I can imagine anything more desperate than standing before my Lord and Saviour and having to say, “Sorry, I never really understood what it was that You wanted me to do”.

There are many heroes of faith in the Scriptures and Sarah is found among them. Despite displaying her feet of clay on more than one occasion, she lived a life which reflected her trust in God and His purposes for her.

 

‘Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him “as my dear husband”. You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated.’ (The Message).
