Tim Eldridge and I travelled to Kitale in Kenya where, following the recent troubles, there was much tension. There are many misplaced people living in refugee camps with hundreds of people living in tents and makeshift shelters. These people are finding it exceptionally hard to survive as they have lost their jobs and most, if not all, their possessions. Many have experienced much violence and loved ones have been killed leaving them with no source of income and reliant on the generosity of others. We arrived in sunny Ostrava after a very efficient flight from Prague and spent the next week primarily encouraging the Roznov ministry team and fledgling church in how to reach out effectively into their local community and fulfill their vision for the town. We met with various expressions of the Apostolic Church in Roznov which is a church planting project from the ‘mother’ church in Valasske Mezirici (Val Mez for short!) which began in January of this year. They have a vision to see church planted throughout the Walachian region of Czech and already have a work in Vsettin and this new venture is a step of faith in obedience to the calling that Roman and his wife Marcie feel upon their lives.
Seven Christian men with their fourteen guests visited the Life Discovery Centre near Crawley for a Multi-Activity day of karting, quad biking, jet skis, canoeing and paintball games. But the day was not just about fun, although one guest commented after the first event that it had already been “one of the best days of my life”. The purpose of the day was to give our guests space to think in a fun environment and that’s exactly what it did! During the orientation session at the beginning of the day we were all asked to think about some questions of life during the morning activities. This worked well and many of us had opportunity to talk with our guests around the questions set.

New One Day Healing School People from a number of different churches gathered together to attend our new format One Day School of Healing “You Are Anointed with Power” which was run by a team from Spearhead recently in Northampton. Those attending were of greatly varying ages, backgrounds and gifting but all had one thing in common - a desire to see Gods Kingdom come with power in their lives, churches and communities.
