Croatian Conference

Following the first ever Tent Event in Croatia last spring which was incredibly successful in seeing many people saved and healed, Tim and Kim arrived in Osijek for a weekend conference at the end of November. This took place in the Krscanskog Centre in a city which is the fourth largest in Croatia with a population of around 115,000. It is situated on the river Drava which joins the Danube nearby.
During the war from 1991 to 1995, the city avoided heavy destruction although the nearby town of Vukovar was heavily shelled and over a thousand citizens died in the area from the daily bombardment. While some buildings still have mild damage, most often the occasional superficial pockmark from shelling, the city's facades are generally in good shape,

Team Travel To Sri Lanka

We travelled to Sri Lanka, a beautiful island at the tip of India to minister in churches around the island and at a youth camp in Chilaw. During our time with the churches we saw a number of people give their lives to our Lord and many believers were greatly encouraged. Most of the churches we worked with were in remote villages which means they don't get visiting ministries often so they really enjoyed having the team. The youth camp was a really significant time with over a hundred and twenty five young people aged from fifteen to thirty representing churches from all around the island,

Working with Spearhead at a Tent Event in United Kingdom

We are already booking events for next summer creating opportunities to work with Spearhead Ministries for people of all backgrounds, abilities and ages next year within the United Kingdom. Spearhead has been successfully running tent events around the country and abroad for a number of years. These have had a significant impact both on the churches and their communities as well as in the lives of those who have come to work with us. A “Tent Event” is a great way to get your feet wet on the mission field.

Czech Republic

A team from our Liquid youth congregation joined with Spearhead to spend a week working with a local church in Valmez.

The majority of the week was taken up helping on an English camp, teaching young people the English language during the day then at night holding Gospel meetings for the camp students.

Although the camp wasn’t what we expected, it was great fun getting  to know the local young people, playing sports with them and building them up in their faith.

One Day School of Healing

People from a number of different churches gathered together to attend our new format One Day School of Healing  “You Are Anointed with Power” which was run by a team from Spearhead recently in Northampton. Those attending were of greatly varying ages, backgrounds and gifting but all had one thing in common - a desire to see Gods Kingdom come with power in their lives, churches and communities.

Throughout the day those attending discovered more about how to live and move in the power of the Holy Spirit and become all that God intended them to be. They were encouraged by the team to step out in faith and move more in the power of the Holy Spirit through teaching, testimonies and the teams own practical experiences.

Sri Lanka Report

My first trip to Sri Lanka with Spearhead was just after the Tsunami in early 2005. That trip was a truly enlightening experience as my emotions were torn between sorrow for the plight of the victims and elation at what God was doing in the lives of the local population. It was with some degree of uncertainty that I returned once again, not knowing whether I would be re-living memories and experiences of that heart rending first trip or whether God had something fresh and unexpected for us.

Bulgaria Mission Report 2007

So it was the end of my time on the ‘Year Team’ and time for a mission trip to complete the experience! We joined with Spearhead’ to go on a mission they were running to the Roma Gypsies in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. As well as the group of 12 of us from the ‘Year Team’ we joined with people from KC21 Aldershot and ‘Living Waters’ Church in Clevedon, King’s Church in Poole, and some others as well as four lads from Tajikistan who taught break dancing to the Gypsies. So a total of 28 of us headed off to Plovdiv with a strong sense that God had gone before us and prepared the way. As a team we were expecting great things from God and ready to do great things for God. We were working with a lovely couple called Craig and Milena Sibthorpe who do an amazing work with the Roma Gypsy people in Bulgaria. The Roma Gypsies are very much looked down upon by the Bulgarian people and treated badly. Many of the people are into stealing, prostitution, drink and drugs. A people very much on God’s heart and in need of His presence in their lives.

MISSION TO UGANDA PLAYING THE HUNCH

What a mighty God we serve!  On October 21st our team of seven, led by Tim and Kim Grant arrived at Entebbe, Kampala to meet with Joel Amonde of R.E.D Ministries.  The trip came about when Tim was prompted by God to read an email from Joel that he had already deleted unread, and which was calling him to go to Uganda!

Unbeknown to us, R.E.D Ministries was based in Wabigalo, a slum in Kampala, with open sewers and extreme poverty.  We later discovered that 35 of the throng of children around us were AIDS orphans being cared for by church members.

Bulgaria Mission Report 2006

The evangelism with Tim and his team, far exceeded our wildest dreams with an average of 30 folk getting saved each night in 11 meetings. We were based in 2 villages but used coaches to transport people in from another 6 or so. Twice we had crowds near 700 people. Many were healed, filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues. There were loads of healings. Over 50 kids made Jesus Lord in the childrens meetings. We gave over 800 Bulgarian edition "Welcome to the family books away” for follow up. Well that’s the statistics here’s some emotion:- Tim drove 3 days none stop to get to us and did the same back. He put up and took down the tent twice. Plus preached most nights during the two weeks. I think he will go in to Roma history as the big strong white tent preacher that drove his lorry from England to share the love of God with them!

Hundreds of lives changed in Gypsy villages

We arrived at Sofia airport Bulgaria and Jools and I were picked up by a Russian taxi driver – suicidal Sergei. Bulgarian driving is mad. Occasionally Sergei would slow to below 100mph in the middle of taking mobile phone calls and periodically placing a hand on the steering wheel just as a good idea.

Nineteen Graduate From First School Of Evangelism

Nineteen people graduated from Spearhead Evangelism’s first School of Evangelism held at the King’s Centre Aldershot last year. Many of these are now working in front line evangelistic ministry within the KC21 network of churches.
The course lasted ten weeks and was designed to equip those attending to work as evangelists based within the local church and to encourage others in the church to be effective witnesses. For more information contact admin@spearhead.org.uk
